Meet the founder behind Prello

My name is Emanuel Heimdal. I started Prello at 22 in Oslo, Norway. I kept meeting business owners drowning in repetitive work that shouldn't need a human. The tools existed to fix it, but nobody was building the fix for them. So I did.

Self-taught developer. Serial entrepreneur. Building business systems since 2023.

What I did before Prello

Used furniture company

Founded and ran a company in Norway selling used office furniture to medium-sized businesses. Automated product publishing to save hours every week. Outcompeted established competitors on quality and sales volume.

NorLines (Samskip)

Foreman and team leader. Built the logistics ground team from scratch for a new terminal. Managed roughly 5 people daily.

Local business work

Worked hands-on with around 5 local companies in Norway, helping them with systems and processes.

Early ventures

Started flipping items and cars in school. Sold merchandise on Amazon FBA in the US. Been building businesses since before I could drive.

How I think about building

I am self-taught. I build custom systems from scratch. I know Next.js, Shopify, and whatever tool the job actually requires. No certifications. Just years of building things that work.

I use the best tools available, including automation platforms and modern development tools, every single day. Staying current is not a side project. It is the job.

Prello itself was built the same way we build for customers. The product you see is proof of the method. If the tools I use can build this, they can build what your business needs.

Most business owners do not have time to figure out what system they need. That is the gap Prello fills. You describe the problem. We build whatever fixes it.

Why I started Prello

Small business owners are busier than ever. New tools come out every month, but nobody has time to learn them. The difference between businesses that save time and businesses that don't is not intelligence or effort. It is access to someone who builds the system for them.

I want to make sure the ones who want better systems can get them without becoming technical. No courses. No DIY tools. Just someone who understands both the technology and the business, and builds the right system for them.

This is not about chasing hype. It is about building practical systems that save real time and real money. Tell us about your business and we will show you exactly what we would build.

How I work

Systems thinking

I look at how a whole business runs before touching any single part. The fix is rarely where the pain shows up.

Fast learner

New tools, new industries, new problems. I adapt quickly because I ask a lot of questions and genuinely care about getting it right.

Direct communication

You always know exactly where your project stands and what comes next. No surprises.
